About Me

Nicole’s 37+ years of personal/professional/entrepreneurial experience along with community advocacy and public service work prepared her to be of service to others. Nicole is the mother of 4 beautiful daughters (Yolanda, Savanna, Brooklyn & Bheanna) and the bonus mom to her niece (Melissa). Nicole loves cooking, entertaining, and traveling the world! Traveling internationally to Africa, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Montenegro, Greece, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, and many other places.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Marketing, a double Master's in Business Administration & Digital Entrepreneurship, and a Doctorate of Executive Business Administration & is currently pursuing a degree in Business Law. Nicole has also earned certifications in UX Design, Project Management, Shopify e-commerce, Business Development, and Financial Literacy.

As a single mother and serial entrepreneur Nicole successfully created an empowerment, entrepreneurial ecosystem for herself, single moms, and womenpreneurs as Founder of Successful Single Moms Memphis and owner of The She-EO Unlimited to end the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck and encouraging women to live life on their terms. The She-EO Unlimited is a certified minority-owned, small business-owned, and woman-owned business enterprise aimed at serving womenpreneurs who are small business owners and lack Brand Development, Business Development, Marketing, Networking & Funding Opportunities to make their business brands visible. The Golden Key Entrepreneur Academy has been a lifelong dream and will provide budding entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn and be coached under Dr. Nicole Gates's tutelage.
